What is the flow control on my JAIN Control Valve for?

You are here:
< Back

Flow control on a valve is a great feature used to eliminate longer than normal closing times when the valve is shutting off. Closing times are determined by the speed in which the internal diaphragm comes in contact with more atmospheric pressure on top than on the bottom itself, the opposite is true when a diaphragm or valve is opening. It’s important to keep in mind that most irrigation manufacturers do not produce a valve that is meant to have a flow control that shuts the valve down completely. If complete shutoff is necessary a separate ball valve is recommended.
