What is the ideal pressure for my irrigation system?

Consistency in designing an irrigation system is going to ensure proper system performance while maximizing component lifespan. For this reason we use pressure compensating and pressure regulating devices whenever possible. While conventional overhead spray systems prefer 40 pounds of pressure at a head, drip systems only need 20 PSI.

As a note it is better to use a regulatory device as close to the emission device as possible.
