The most useful message points out something wrong. A rainfall total that was later revised, an extension recommendation that has changed, a water restriction that ended, a plant that turns out to need more water than a piece claims: any of these leaves a page out of date. It helps to include the link to the page, quote the sentence in question and name a source that says otherwise, such as an extension fact sheet, a weather service record or a utility notice. A correction that checks out is made in the piece itself.
Questions about watering and soil that no piece answers yet are read too, and some of them turn into new pieces.
The address cannot diagnose a sick plant from a description, recommend a contractor or a product, or take sides between a gardener and a utility or a neighbor. A county extension office does the first far better, and the about page lists a few places that help with the rest.
